Hey Kix!
I’m just wondering why you guys never play any of the old stuff on the Countdown. I'm just curious and maybe other people listening are too.

Thanks for your question, Preston.
Actually, we do play some older music, but we try to play songs that relate to the Countdown – songs that have been previous number ones or something like that.
There’s a lot of music out there that I like, but when folks tune in to hear the Top 30, I don’t feel like its fair for me to play things that don’t relate to the Top 30 in some way. We do showcase a lot of artists like Colt Ford, for example, and older artists on our website, but American Country Countdown has always been about the hottest artists on the chart and it’s my job here to deliver that news to the listeners, along with some fun facts about the artists and the music.
