Throughout the week, the ACC crew looks through nominations from listeners and news articles searching for someone we think deserves to be our Kidde Hero of the Week…This week, we’d like to honor Robert Borba from Eagle Point, Oregon.

Now, Borba is a champion bull rider who lives on a ranch with his wife and six kids. But, on a recent stop to his local Walmart, he heard a woman screaming that her bike was being stolen! So, Borba did what any cowboy would do – he grabbed his horse out of his trailer, he jumped on, he chases the thief down, and he had him roped and tied till the police showed up! He’s now being called the “John Wayne of Southern Oregon” and his story has gone viral!

The town is majorly proud of their local hero, but Borba says, “I just did the right thing. Stealin’ ain’t right, so I stopped him.” And, he certainly did!

Kix’s Response:

That’s the cowboy way, ain’t it?! I swear I saw this scene in a movie one time! You know what, Robert? I hope to see you in Vegas at the thief roping finals!
