Throughout the week, we through emails from our listeners and news articles searching for someone we think deserves to be our Kidde Hero of the Week!
This week, Kix wanted to salute Lieutenant Briana Jones… He shares:
“So, just this past week, I happened to be going through the airport in San Antonio and I noticed a group of people waiting with the signs that read: “Welcome Home, Heroes!” So, I thought, “What the heck… I’m not in that big of a hurry,” so I took one of the small American flags that they were handing out, and I waited to cheer on our military and be a part of that big welcome home!
When they came down the escalator, everybody cheered and I realized just how important our support is. I met several of our servicemen and women. They were all returning from different areas of the world and looked awful happy to be home.
Well, one of them was Lieutenant Briana Jones. She had just returned from a tour in Qatar. And, after we all hugged it out, I introduced myself and it turns out they were actually fans and we took some fun pics…
Anyway, with Veterans Day taking place this month, it’s just a good reminder that when we see our heroes that serve, take a little time and be a part of that welcome home. Tell ‘em thanks for their service. It matters!”
