When Kacey Musgraves decided to record a Christmas album, she wanted to step outside what fans might typically expect. The singer-songwriter tapped into a vast array of musical styles and influences to create A Very Kacey Christmas. While there are some Kacey originals on the project, the majority of the material is a mix of holiday standards we all know and love arranged with a sonic twist that catches your ear. Kacey was heavily inspired by the retro sounds of Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters along with a splash of Hawaiian and Spanish influences. It all makes for a very unique holiday experience that is pure Kacey Musgraves.
