Throughout the week, our team here at ACC looks through emails and news articles searching for someone we think deserves to be our Kidde Hero of the Week!

Kris Thompson from Spring Hill, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville, emailed us her Hero nomination. She writes:

I would like to nominate Chief Terry Hood from the Spring Hill, Tennessee Fire Department.  He organized and took a crew of his firefighters to assist in the efforts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I feel certain other departments did as well, but as a former Spring Hill Police Officer, I can assure you that this type of pay it forward attitude and the type of professionalism demonstrated by the Spring Hill Fire Department is because of the leadership of this amazing man.

I have known him personally since our early 20s, and it’s awesome to see the father, leader, and expert in his field that he’s become – Terry Hood deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week. God bless him and all of those that work with him and have the pleasure of knowing him like I do.

Respectfully Submitted,

Kris Thompson

Kix’s Response:

Well, thank you for that one, Kris. And, I know those fires have been horrible out there in East Tennessee, so for everybody that’s done their part, thank you so much.
