This week, we logged on to our email and this Hero nomination from Megan definitely jumped out at us. She writes:
Dear Kix,
I would like to nominate my grandparents Michael and Sharon for Hero of the Week.
My grandparents celebrated 51 years of marriage in October. My grandma survived cancer, and my grandpa is a polio survivor that has been a volunteer firefighter for 50 years. They are soft-spoken, kind, and loving and would put everyone else before themselves.
My grandparents have passed so much advice and knowledge down to me, that I know nothing I do would ever be enough to repay them. I only hope with everything they have taught me I can make a difference in someone else’s life just as they have.
