This week, Susan Perry sent us a Facebook message to nominate the Hero in her life – her husband! Susan writes:
My husband was in the Navy and served his country for over 20 years. After retiring, he became a police officer and spent 25 years on the police force. He’s a hero to so many, not just me. He’s the rock for his family: six children and 20 grandkids. I’ve been in love with him since high school, and I’m so glad to have him in my life.

Susan, thanks so much for your Facebook message, and I think here kicking off 2017 it’s a great chance to say thanks to all our folks out there serving in the armed forces, as well as firemen and policemen and everyone else helping in the service industries.
