We take you behind the scenes and explore the making of one of our favorite tunes with The Song Remembers When…
This week, we take another look at Brett Eldredge’s “Lose My Mind”… we love this song so much that we wanted to feature it twice!
Brett Eldredge hit the top of the charts for the fourth consecutive time in 2015 with his song “Lose My Mind.” Now, this was the debut single from his album Illinois and was co-written by Brett and his frequent co-writers Ross Copperman and Heather Morgan.
Brett said that he often gets in a writing session and starts to beat box on a table and then Ross will throw a mic in front of him and they just start recording. Then, he’ll play guitar to whatever Brett is singing. The melody heard on “Lose My Mind” is pretty much what Brett was singing as they were writing. They knew it was different than what they had recorded before but Brett encouraged his co-writers just to be crazy with the song and not hold back. And, I think they succeeded!
Two years ago Brett Eldredge took “Lose My Mind” all the way to the top, and it’s this week’s “The Song Remembers When:”
