The Song Remembers When: “Nothin’ Like You” – Dan + Shay

We take you behind the scenes and explore the making of one of our favorite tunes with The Song Remembers When…

 

So, Dan + Shay reached number one for the very first time in December of 2015 with a song called “Nothin’ Like You.” It was their third release from their debut album called Where It All Began. And, the duo co-wrote the song with Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley, who has written a million hits.

And, supposedly, it was inspired by Shay Mooney’s ex-girlfriend. Shay said that it was about loving someone for who they are – no matter how weird they may be. Gee, wonder why she’s your ex, dude?

Anyway, the duo has always listened to their fans when it comes to their music. And, they said this became a single because it always got the best crowd response during their live shows! So, chalk this one up as a fan song!

And, clearly, the fans were right… Their very first number one called “Nothin’ Like You,” from Dan + Shay, this week’s The Song Remembers When:
