In 2013, Florida Georgia Line reached the top of the charts with their second single “Get Your Shine On.” It was the first time a new duo would go to number one with their first two songs since Ronnie and I did that 21 years prior!
As for the song, Brian Kelley recalls Tyler [Hubbard] having the hook “get your shine on.” Brian said that the song came together in a little over an hour.
It was the second song off their debut album titled Here’s To The Good Times – all about the virtues of a down home party, which is what helped launch the sound early on for Florida Georgia Line. And, it’s this week’s The Song Remembers When – the number one from 2013, “Get Your Shine On:”
