This week, we’ve got a story that really struck me when I first heard about it.

It was a Tuesday morning around 1 a.m. in the Detroit, Michigan, and police spotted a man on an overpass looking like he wanted to jump. Well, the police went into action and came up with an out-of-the-box plan. They began to flag down semi-trucks.  And, the trucks lined up under that overpass, so if the man did decide to jump, he wouldn’t fall very far. He would just land on the top of those semis.

The 13 trucks lined up on both the westbound and the eastbound lanes, closing down interstate.

That night, an act of heroism took place and a man’s life was saved. He was escorted by police to a nearby hospital.

To all the truckers and the entire Detroit Metro Police Department, we salute you as our Kidde Heroes of the Week! That’s what I call trucking into action and making it happen!

And, to any one suffering out there, please reach out for help. You don’t have to suffer in silence.
