Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…
Let’s face it, heroes can come in all shapes, sizes, and forms! So, this week, we honor a six- month-old golden retriever named Todd.
Todd’s owner Paula Godwin lives in Anthem, Arizona. And, she and Todd were hiking on a trail that they pretty much hike every day.
Paula said that she was about to take a step when she saw a rattlesnake. And, as the snake went to bite her leg, Todd ran in front of her and sustained a bite on his face. Paula quickly rushed him to the vet where he was given anti-venom.
Todd is recovering nicely and, ironically, was even recently honored by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was given a shirt and brought out onto the field where the stadium gave him a standing ovation for his bravery.
So, Todd – you are this week’s Kidde Hero!

I bet that poor guy never wants to see another snake for the rest of his life! Definitely a brave little buddy though!
