Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…

This week, Sarah Myers sent us her Kidde Hero nomination. She writes:

Dear Kix,

I want to nominate my husband and here’s why. While serving in the Marine Corps, he was involved in a training accident that left him with 82% hearing loss in his right ear and 40% in his left. Regardless of this disability, he has still decided to pursue his dream of being a country singer. He has just released his first single. I am so unbelievably proud of him because I know how difficult the hearing loss has made it for him to be able to pursue this career.

My husband, Connor, is the most selfless man and has positively touched the lives of many – both in the service and now as a police officer. He is so passionate about music that I want him to know that I am not the only one who believes that he is capable of achieving this dream.

Sincerely,
Sarah Myers

Kix’s Response:

Wow! Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your husband’s story.

First, to Connor, thank you for your service. You clearly have a passion for giving back – first as a serviceman and now as a police officer.  Sometimes we have obstacles put in our way, but I believe if you want something bad enough, nothing should keep you from doing what you love. So, keep on singing, pal!

Connor Myers – you are this week’s Kidde Hero!
