Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…

This week, we share a story from North Charlotte, North Carolina.

A woman was in a parking lot when a strange man attempted to kidnap her.  Now, the woman instinctively turned and ran into a nearby building, which just happened to house a karate school.

You can probably see where this is going…

Randall Ephraim was the head instructor of a class that had just ended when the woman ran in yelling for help. Ephraim said that a big man ran in after her. When he asked the man what he wanted, the man said that he wanted the woman. She told the karate instructor that she didn’t know this guy and he was trying to kidnap her.

That’s when Ephraim went into action. He quickly got the man out of the building where he said that the man became aggressive. That’s when Ephraim simply said that the man was “dealt with.”

Police arrived. They arrested the man and they took him away on a stretcher.

Kix’s Response:

Good grief! I would say if someone is trying to attack you and you have the chance, just head for the nearest karate school!!! What a smart lady… I like it.

So, Randall Ephraim – you are this week’s Kidde Hero!
