Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…

From Kentucky, we found the story of Donna Harlow – a woman who has been making clothes for those less fortunate for the past five years.

The idea came about when Donna started making dresses out of the fabric that her late mother had collected. She didn’t want it to all go to waste, so she started sewing up some children’s dresses. Well, at about the same time, a friend was making a trip to Haiti, and Donna thought of the idea of donating those dresses to the children of Haiti and surrounding areas.

She says that she’s probably made over a thousand dresses though the years. Later on, she started making clothes for the boys, as well. Donna says that she feels like this is her calling, and it’s why God blessed her with the talent to make the clothes.

Kix’s Response:

What a great story from a woman putting her talent to good use!

Donna Harlow – you are our Kidde Hero of the Week!
