From Scott City, Kansas, a 10-year-old fourth grader is being hailed as a hero.

Keller Turner was having lunch in the school cafeteria when his friend started to choke on a chicken nugget. The lunch duty attendant tried patting the boy on the back but it wasn’t working.

Keller said that his friend’s face was turning red and he knew he wasn’t joking. That’s when he jumped into action! Keller did the Heimlich maneuver which caused that nugget to go flying out of his buddy’s mouth. Keller said that his grandmother, who is a nurse, taught him the life-saving technique.
