Kix and Thompson Square sat down to chat on Monday, March 4th to talk about their new music, their tiny little dog Barkley and more in our latest edition of Live From the Ponderosa.
Keifer and Shawna Thompson's breakthrough hit "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" topped the chart here at ACC and went on to become the number one single of 2011. Pretty impressive for your very first hit, right?
The husband/wife duo continued to make waves on the chart with their follow-up singles – "I Got You" and "Glass" – from their self-titled debut album. Successes at radio lead to opening slots on Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party Tour in 2011 and Lady Antebellum's Own The Night World Tour in 2012. Plus, the pair won Vocal Duo of the Year honors at both the CMA Awards and the ACM Awards.
After closing the chapter on their debut disc, Thompson Square looks ahead with new music including their chart-climbing single "If I Didn't Have You."
