Hey Kix,
I want to tell you my story of finding my soul mate. When I was in high school in the early 80’s, I had two best friends Deb and Bob. The three of us were inseparable. Bob knew that he wanted out of small town Iowa just as soon as he could, so he moved to Missouri the day after we graduated. We did write for a time but never saw each other for over 25 years.
Fast forward to 2010… Deb and I were talking about how fun it would be to find Bob again, wondering where he was at and what he was up to. I knew his stepmom was still around town. So, I contacted her to see if she would give us some info and lo and behold he was back in Iowa…and just 5 miles down the road from me!
So, the three of us – me, Bob and Deb – met up for drinks and it was like we had never been apart! We talked and emailed and wow…I had my best friend back! And…there was a spark there that just kept growing, but I wasn't sure what to do about it.
A few months later, we took a vacation together and in that few days together I figured it out…he was what was missing in my life – a man I liked for who he was and the fact that I hadn't smiled with my whole heart in years! It's been three years now and life is perfect! I'm in love with my best friend.
