When Kix took part in the 2015 CMA Songwriters Series at the Country 2 Country Festival in London, not only did he host the event but he also became a fan of the duo Striking Matches. Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis garnered a great deal of attention as their songs “When the Right One Comes Along,” “Hangin’ On a Lie” and more were featured on ABC’s hit television series Nashville. The success of the show lead to sold-out tour dates in the U.K. and a growing fan base. With a record deal in their hands, the duo teamed up with famed producer T Bone Burnett to create their impressive debut album Nothing But the Silence.
Back stateside, Kix sat down with Striking Matches to get the scoop on their musical journey. Sarah and Justin talk about their experiences in the U.K. and the great lessons imparted to them by T Bone Burnett and more in this edition of Kix TV.
