This week’s love story is from Linda, and she writes…
Dear Kix,
I met my husband, Mark, through his cousin, who was actually my boyfriend at the time. Mark was also taken, however since he was married. He was a very tall, red-headed good-looking…seemed very nice, and I liked him right away.
A few years went by and I never really saw him again. That is until someone set me up on a blind date and low and behold, it was with Mark! Well, I was no longer with his cousin and he had since been divorced. So, we went out, had tons to talk about, and it seemed as if we had known each other forever! It was wonderful…
But, it was almost ruined. Everyone kept telling me that I could do better and to dump him. He didn’t have a job and he lived at his mom and dad’s house… So, one day, I called Mark and told him I thought we needed to see other people. I could tell he was hurt, but he agreed.
Sure enough though, I couldn’t stand being away from him. And so, just one day later, I called him and asked if he would forgive me and take me back. Thankfully, he was at my doorstep 30 minutes later!
Now, we are going on 36 years of marriage and I can safely say, he is my soul-mate!

Wow, Linda!!! So, you two had this whole 24 hours apart and thankfully survived! Luckily for you, you realized that you’re the only one who gets to live your life. And, it sounds like your gut was right on… I think 36 years says something for success! Keep up the good work!
