Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not? – Harry and Doris’ Story

This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories! You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away. You get the idea – whatever your “happily ever after” is, we wanna hear it!!!

We found this week’s story online on the website for the UK newspaper The Telegraph, and it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day weekend!

Back in 1940, a young man named Harry, who was only 17 years-old, was boarding a train to join the war-time effort. And, he presented his honey Doris with a Valentine’s card that read “Two hearts entwine this Valentine.”

Amazingly, Doris held onto that Valentine’s card for the next 70 years, and every February 14th, she pulled it out and placed it on the mantelpiece. She said that it was just as special to her now as it was all those years ago.

Harry said that Doris would always be his Valentine. And, Doris added that she had always loved how romantic he was, and that the secret to their happy marriage, was that they never went to bed without a kiss goodnight!
