Kix TV: Old Dominion

Before earning their own number one hit with “Break Up with Him,” a few of the members of Old Dominion had already collected some chart-cred. They were the writers behind hits from artists like Kenny Chesney (“Save It for a Rainy Day”), The Band Perry (“Better Dig Two,” “Chainsaw”), Blake Shelton (“Sangria”), Dierks Bentley (“Say You Do”) and Tyler Farr (“A Guy Walks Into a Bar”). After polishing their skills in the writing room and on the road, it came time for the band to be front and center and they’ve done that in a big way.

Along with their chart-topping hit and its follow-up single “Snapback,” Old Dominion’s debut album Meat and Candy has earned acclaim from critics and fans alike. Plus, they’ve taken home some hardware. The guys were awarded the ACM for Best New Vocal Duo/Group and were recognized as Breakthrough Group/Duo of the Year at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards. That’s not too shabby, right?!

We take a look back at Kix’s visit with Old Dominion from September 2015 in this Kix TV. The guys talk about touring with Kenny Chesney and swap Trace Adkins stories with Kix. Plus, they perform their debut #1 “Break Up with Him.”
