This week’s song was written by the four members of Little Big Town and their producer Wayne Kirkpatrick.
Now, Karen Fairchild had written down the phrase “little white church” in her journal. The gang loved that idea, and they were inspired to make the song a “call and response” format after hearing Patty Loveless’ record Mountain Soul.
The tune was released in spring of 2010 as the lead single from their album The Reason Why.
