In December 2014, Tim McGraw hit the top of the country chart for the 36th time with his song “Shotgun Rider.” Well, Tim debuted the song in February of that year on Jimmy Fallon’s first week of hosting The Tonight Show. He said that he wanted to give Jimmy something special that no one had heard before.
It was written by the hit songwriting trio of Hillary Lindsey, Marv Green and Troy Verges. Now, Tim said that he loved it because it painted this picture, and it just set the mood of how perfect life is when you’re sitting next to the person you love. And, Tim’s wife, Faith, called this one her favorite songs off his Sundown Heaven Town album.
