So, Hunter Hayes’ third single from his self-titled debut album was “Somebody’s Heartbreak.” It went to the top of the chart in March of 2013.
Now, Hunter co-wrote this song with late Andrew Dorff and Luke Laird during a writing session that took place about a night or two before Valentine’s Day. So, yeah – love was on his mind!
The song was inspired by this girl that Hunter liked, but he knew that she didn’t quite feel the same way about him. But, he figured that if he had one moment to tell her what he was thinking he’d would say these words to her…
Did it work, Hunter? Naw, but music can help though! It can help a sad story sound pretty upbeat, anyway!
