From acting and voiceover work to his stint on Celebrity Apprentice, Trace Adkins is not lacking in variety when it comes to his 20-plus year career. Despite his success in all those avenues, Trace hasn’t forgotten what brought him to the dance – music. And, these days, it’s a huge focus for him as Trace returns with his first new album in four years.
The album is titled Something’s Going On, out March 31st, and it covers much of the emotional ground of where Trace is in his life and career. Just take a listen to the album’s latest single “Watered Down,” and you’ll get a sense that it strikes a deep chord within Trace’s life.
Recently, Trace caught up with Kix in studio to talk about the challenges of finding just the right song. Trace also recalls a few stories from filming his latest movie Deepwater Horizon. Plus, Trace shares if he thought his Celebrity Apprentice boss would end up as president.
