Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…

Debra Burnett wrote in to nominate her brother for our Kidde Hero of the Week. She writes:

Kix,

I would like to nominate my brother Ed Bell as your Hero of the Week. He served in Vietnam and as a result of Agent Orange, he suffered a heart attack at the age of 42. He’s now in his 70s. Well, my parents passed away, and, despite my brothers repeated heart attacks, he has stepped into the role of head of our family.

He’s always been there for all eight of his brothers and sisters. He never forgets a birthday, Mother’s Day, or holidays. He always calls and checks on us, and I know when I need advice or encouragement, I can call my big brother and he is always ready and willing to help!

Thank you, Kix, for recognizing our heroes every week!

Signed,
Debra

Kix’s Response:

Well, Debra, thank you for writing in, and a big thanks to your brother Ed for his service! That’s a debt that none of us can ever repay.

It sounds like he is the best kind of brother, and you’re lucky that you’re all so close and have each other to lean on…

Ed Bell – our Kidde Hero of the Week!
