Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…

Travis Massie wrote in to nominate his nine year-old nephew Kameron. He shared this amazing story with us of Kameron coming to the rescue of his own babysitter:

The babysitter was on the family’s tractor when it rolled over and trapped him in a ditch. Well, Kameron heard the cries for help and immediately went into action! He jumped into a nearby backhoe tractor and drove over to the man who was trapped. He used the backhoe to wedge the tractor off of the man’s leg.

The police and fire department arrived shortly after to help Kameron. The babysitter was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. And, needless to say, Kameron’s family is extremely proud of him!

Kix’s Response:

Nine years-old, using a backhoe? Now, that’s country! If you don’t know what a backhoe is, it’s one of those bulldozer looking things with a big arm and a bucket at the end with teeth on the end of it. Well, Kameron, great job! Man, that is unbelievable! In a situation like that, not many can think straight and it sounds like you kept things under control!

So, Kameron Massie is this week’s junior dozer champion and our Kidde Hero of the Week!
