Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…
Kristianna Fry emailed us to nominate her friend Randy Gibson as our Hero of the Week. She writes:
Hi, Kix!
I’d like to nominate my friend Randy. He’s been my rock over the last several months as I’ve worked towards getting my master’s degree. This last semester was the hardest one I’ve ever had. Not only was the course work intense, my dog lost his battle with cancer and I was devastated. I also started to deal with my own health issues and I honestly thought about quitting school.
Randy was there for me through it all and encouraged me to keep going. He would take me to lunch to make sure I was eating and he was just there for me daily. I would not be where I am today without his friendship! I’d like to honor him as this week’s Hero.

Man, I like this one, Kristianna. You know, sometimes all it takes is just being there for somebody and encouraging them. I don’t think we always realize how important great friends are.
And, congratulations on persevering and getting that master’s! That’s hard work!
