In December of 2006, Rascal Flatts would hit the top of the charts with their song “My Wish.” The song was co-written by Jeffery Steele and Steve Robson.
Jeffery says that the day he was scheduled to write with Steve, he had promised his daughter that he was going to write a song for her because he had written a song for her sister. And, honestly, she didn’t even believe him…
When Steve started playing some music he was working on, Jeffery said that the words just started coming to him about someone always having your back. He knew this was gonna be his daughter’s song.
The song would inspire ESPN to launch a series about the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants children with life threatening medical conditions their one true wish! The show just celebrated their 11th anniversary – incredible!
