Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…

By now you have seen the pictures of the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey. So many heroes and so many volunteers have jumped into action to help save lives. Many took to social media to alert people they needed help, like the nursing home where the patients were up to their waist in water and were rescued thanks to a picture that had spread on Facebook.

From the Coast Guard down in the Gulf to New York Task Force 1 which is made up of New York’s firefighters and police departments, they all made the trip to Texas to assist in the rescuing efforts. Anyone and everyone who could assist or had a boat helped pitched in!

So, this week, for anyone who was a part in the rescuing efforts, you are our Kidde Heroes of the Week!

We know this is gonna be an ongoing effort… Our thoughts and prayers are with all you folks down there in Texas and Louisiana.
