The Song Remembers When: “Sunny and 75” – Joe Nichols

We take you behind the scenes and explore the making of one of our favorite tunes with The Song Remembers When…

Joe Nichols reached the top of the Billboard Country Airplay Chart for the fourth time back in 2013 with “Sunny and 75,” a song about going to a romantic location with the woman you love if only in your mind.

This tune was co-written by Jason Sellers, Michael Dulaney, and Paul Jenkins. And, Joe said that within the first 45 seconds of hearing this thing, he already had a visual image in his mind of how this song looked. And, he said that sometimes you just feel it – it’s obvious.

He knew that it would be perfect for radio in the summertime, and he was right. The label released the song in May of 2013, and, by early December, Joe had another number one. It was the first song released from his Crickets album. And, it’s this week’s The Song Remembers When – Joe Nichols’ “Sunny and 75:”
