Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…

For the last 12 years, country artist Tracy Lawrence has held a turkey fry benefiting the Nashville Rescue Mission. With the help of other artists, celebrities, and sports figures, he has fried close to six thousand turkeys, providing over 75 thousand meals to the city’s homeless.

The event, for the last two years, has culminated with a benefit concert, and this year is no exception!  He has a lineup of stars that includes Luke Combs, Jamie O’Neal, and Halfway to Hazard… it’s quite an event. And, Tracy is expanding this thing now. He has partnered with his home state of Texas to hold a turkey fry in Dallas.

And, just last year, Middle Tennessee honored him with its Philanthropist of the Year Honor. With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, we couldn’t think of a better guy to honor as this week’s Kidde Hero!

Kix’s Response:

Tracy, thanks for all you do! Let’s give him a plug… He has a new album out called Good Ole Days, and it finds Tracy pairing up with his famous friends to cover some of his biggest hits!
