Kix TV: Keith Urban (2017)

Ripcord was one of the biggest albums of Keith Urban’s career. From that project, Keith added three more songs to his list of Billboard Country Airplay Number Ones (“Break on Me,” “Wasted Time,” and “Blue Ain’t Your Color”) bringing his chart-topping total to 21. Plus, the album earned him numerous award nominations, including, most recently, four trophies from the American Music Awards and CMA Awards. Not a bad run for an album.

But, now it’s time to say goodbye to Ripcord as Keith ushered in a new musical era with the debut of “Female” at this year’s CMAs. The journey from the writing room to the stage and now the Billboard chart has been amazingly quick and that’s credit to Keith’s deep feelings about the song.

In this visit to Kix TV, Keith details that journey. Plus, he discusses international travel with Kix and reflects on a few of his past hits, including the one song from his catalog that holds a special place in his heart.
