This story comes from CBS News

Andy Mitchell from Rockwall, Texas, was driving down the road when he spotted a man in a fast food uniform walking alongside the road. It was 95 degrees outside, and Andy decided to pull over and give the man a lift. Well, the man was 20-year-old Justin Korva. Now, Justin told Andy that he walked three miles to work and three miles back home. He said that he was saving up to buy a car.

Well, Andy went home and posted a picture on Facebook of him and Justin, and said that anyone who says they can’t find a job, really doesn’t want it bad enough. Well, that post quickly spread throughout the community, and before Justin knew it, people had donated over five thousand dollars. Then, the local Toyota dealer got involved and reduced the price of one of their used cars.

Folks in the community got together and made a plan to drive the car to the restaurant where Justin worked. When he came out, they surprised him with the keys to that car. The car, paid in full, came with a year of oil changes and a five hundred dollar gift card for gas. Justin will never have to make that walk again!

So, to Andy Mitchell and the entire community of Rockwall, Texas – you are our Kidde Heroes of the Week! You never know how far one good deed will go… Good for you, Andy! And, congrats to Justin on that new car!
