This week, we have a special tribute to a father:

Hi Kix,

My name is Aubrey Reeves, and I’m 12 years old. I would like to nominate my dad.

He’s in the army, and he works as a mechanic. Someday, I hope to be just like him! I plan to enlist in the army when I turn 17, but I don’t think I’d be a mechanic. I’d like to be a drill sergeant or maybe even a lawyer.

I’d also like to let you know that my dad has been in the reserves and has helped many communities who have had natural disasters. He has been there when towns get flooded, helping people to safety and providing fresh water. My dad is my hero and a hero to so many other people.

Thank you,
Aubrey

Kix’s Response:

Well, Aubrey, that is a pretty great tribute to your father. He sounds like he is setting a great example for you.

So, we’ll say “Happy Father’s Day” to your dad and since you didn’t give us his name… we’ll say “Mr. Reeves, you are our Hero of the Week!” Keep being a good dad, and thank you for your service!
