Kix TV: Justin Moore (2019)

After successfully coloring outside the lines a bit with his previous album (2016’s Kinda Don’t Care), Justin Moore decided to return to his traditional country sensibilities. While a lot of artists pay lip service to a so-called return to tradition, Justin actually put it into action with his latest album Late Nights and Longnecks.

Meanwhile on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart, Justin has taken the project’s debut single into our Top 5. “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” is a poignant statement that is striking a chord with fans much like his 2011 number oneIf Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.” And, as we learn in this visit with Kix, songs like that, which impact fans in such a powerful way, are right up Justin’s ally.

Also, in this edition of Kix TV, Justin and Kix discuss the relatability of country music and the concept of creating albums versus releasing single songs to fans. Plus, Justin explains how a change of scenery impacts his songwriting process.
