The Song Remembers When: Justin Moore – “Lettin’ The Night Roll”

We take you behind the scenes and explore the making of one of our favorite tunes with The Song Remembers When…

In July 2014, Justin Moore scored his fourth number one, “Lettin’ The Night Roll.” Justin wrote this song with his longtime producer Jeremy Stover and the great songwriter Rodney Clawson.

At the time, he’d been having success with sentimental songs like “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.” But, Justin wanted to show a more rockin’ side with his music, so for his third album Off The Beaten Path, he fired up the electric guitars and kicked it with this song.

Lyrically, it was pretty familiar territory for Justin – meeting up with a pretty girl, jumping into a truck, and letting the night unfold.

So, this week’s The Song Remembers When is Justin Moore’s “Lettin’ The Night Roll.”
