Hero of the Week: Taylor White

Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Hero of the Week… Find out how you can nominate a Hero of the Week at the bottom of the page.

This week, we would like to recognize our healthcare workers – the nurses and doctors who are putting their own lives at risk to help patients who are battling this virus.

Joel and Harriet White in Nashville reached out in order to recognize their daughter Taylor who is a nurse. Taylor works at Nashville’s Centennial Hospital and has been on the front lines since the first cases of the virus started to show up.

Taylor is part of the hospital’s intensive care unit and is taking all the necessary precautions to keep herself safe while she cares for her patients. She’s been working long hours and is prepared to cover shifts if another part of their staff contracts the virus – and that is the danger.

What she, her parents, and everyone like her ask is that you stay home, stay safe, and protect those that are most fragile.

Kix’s Response:

Taylor White and all of you on the front lines, risking your lives to save others, you guys are our Heroes of the Week!

There are so many hero stories out there. And, I’ve gotta brag on my wife – I’m not making her Hero of the Week, but she’s working with a doctor here and they’ve ordered like 80 yards of a fabric that they make uniforms, hats, and masks out of… She’s quite a seamstress and they’ve been going non-stop, day and night right now, to make uniforms that you can put in the wash, clean them and wear them again.

So, everybody who is trying to help out during these hard times, keep up the good work!
