According to Scotty McCreery, some people have a misconception about him. Scotty says that fans think he has this “goody, goody image,” that he’s a “holier than thou kind of guy.” But, Scotty says that’s not necessarily true.
When he sat down to write with Frank Rogers, Jessi Alexander, and Jonathan Singleton, that topic came up. Scotty told them that he wasn’t that guy, but he wasn’t a wild partier either. That’s when one of the writers said, “Yeah, you’re somewhere in between.” Well, that led to writing the song “In Between.”
Scotty felt like this was his anthem. He knew that it was a fit for him and he felt like other people could relate. Well, they did in a big way because last summer fans helped this song climb all the way to the top of the chart. The song was the second of Scotty’s three number ones from his 2018 album Seasons Change.
