In January 2014, Chris Young released the second single from his album A.M. He typically writes his own songs, but Chris didn’t write “Who I Am With You.” It was penned by Marv Green, Paul Jenkins, and Jason Sellers. Chris loved it and for him, when it comes down to what to record, it’s always “the best song wins!”
“Who I Am With You” was the follow up to “Aw Naw,” a song that was pretty high-energy. So, Chris liked the idea of following it up with something slower and more sentimental. He was a big fan of the lyrics which spoke about being completely in love.
By July, the song would land just shy of the top spot on the Countdown and hold there for two weeks.
