During the pandemic, Thomas Rhett, like a lot of us, had time to really think about his life. It ended up inspiring his album Country Again (Side A). The title cut was everything he wanted to say when he was a teenager but hadn’t really lived enough to be able to write about.
Ultimately, it’s all about his music journey over the past decade and having a deeper understanding of what’s important in life. Thomas realized when he was forced off the road due to the pandemic that he had gotten away from the things he loved – fishing, hunting, and time with family.
Apparently, a lot of folks must have related to that feeling as “Country Again” reached the top of the chart in September 2021. At the time, it marked Thomas’ 17th trip to number one.
