The 56th Annual CMA Awards Winners

Thrilling performances, first-time and record-breaking winners, and tributes honoring the legends of country filled the 56th Annual CMA Awards hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning. Luke Combs was named Entertainer of the Year for the second consecutive year. He also won, as artist and producer, in the category of Album of the Year (Growin’ Up). During Wednesday night’s show, two first-time winners’ stars shined brightly. Lainey Wilson became the third artist to win Female Vocalist and New Artist in the same year, following in the footsteps of Carrie Underwood and Alison Krauss. As one of the biggest hits of the year, “‘Til You Can’t” scored Cody Johnson recognition with wins in the Single and Music Video categories.

With his sixth Male Vocalist trophy, Chris Stapleton claimed the title of most wins in the category. Brothers Osborne and Old Dominion each collected their fifth wins as Vocal Duo and Vocal Group respectively. Carly Pearce earned her second Musical Event trophy for her collaboration with Ashley McBryde. And, Jordan Davis received his first CMA Award of his career to date as “Buy Dirt” was named Song of the Year.
