In Spring 2021, Florida Georgia Line reached number one with “Long Live.” While on their Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour in 2019, the guys wrote the song with David Garcia, Corey Crowder, and Josh Miller.
During the session, someone threw out the line, “long live nights like these,” and that served as fuel for writing the rest of the song. They all started talking about things that meant a lot to them, the simple things like “working hard and playing hard,” family, and good friends.
It was released in September 2020, as the second single from the duo’s album Life Rolls On and within seven months, it became FGL’s 15th number one.
