In 2021, “Tequila Little Time” became Jon Pardi’s final single released to radio from his Heartache Medication album.
Jon visits his mom at her Northern California home as much as he can and that’s where he wrote this song. Apparently, she has a writing room so he can work while he’s visiting.
On one trip, Jon brought along songwriters Rhett Akins and Luke Laird. They weren’t having any luck as far as song ideas until the last day of the trip when Rhett threw out the phrase “tequila little time.” After that, the song came together pretty quickly.
In January 2022, Jon took “Tequila Little Time” inside the Top 5.
