You wouldn’t think that your mom and a drinking song would go together but that’s how it all went down for Justin Moore.
He and his wife were out to dinner with his parents, and he ordered a few drinks. Justin’s mom asked, “Why do you drink so much?” His answer? He never found a reason not to. Justin also notes that his mom was having a drink herself when she asked him!
Justin brought the idea to his songwriting buddies at while they were on a writing retreat at his beach house in Florida. David Lee Murphy was among the writers and said that as soon as Justin threw out that line, he thought of a list of reasons of why you should drink.
