Performers Announced for the 2023 CMT Music Awards

The first round of performers for the 2023 CMT Music Awards have been announced and the list includes some of the most in-demand artists in the country world and one superstar who made his return to the show after a five-year absence. Leading nominee Lainey Wilson will perform her latest hit “Heart Like a Truck.” And, three-time nominee Cody Johnson will deliver a performance of his chart-climbing single “Human.”

Making his return to the show is Blake Shelton who will take the stage for “No Body.” Over the course of his 20-plus-year career, Blake has won a total of eight CMT Music Awards, including Video of the Year in 2018. In addition to already-announced performers Carrie Underwood and Kane Brown with his wife Katelyn, look for performances from Carly Pearce, Keith Urban, and Kelsea Ballerini. The show continues the tradition of shining the spotlight on new talent out of Music City as Avery Anna, Chapel Hart, Jackson Dean, Lily Rose, Megan Moroney, and Nate Smith set for the Ram Trucks Side Stage. More performances as well as presenters will be announced in the weeks ahead.

The 2023 CMT Music Awards, hosted by Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown, will broadcast LIVE from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, at 8/7c Sunday, April 2nd, on CBS. Fan voting is on-going and will conclude March 27th. Discover more information on how to vote and a full list of nominees here.
