Hero of the Week: Billy Dinnerstein

Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Hero of the Week… Find out how you can nominate a Hero of the Week at the bottom of the page.

Billy Dinnerstein is the owner of Your Kind of Cuts in Nutley, New Jersey. He calls his barbershop a “sensory friendly” shop working with kids who have autism or special needs. The shop’s sensory toys and sensory wall help the children with their nervous energy.

For many of these kids, a simple haircut can be very traumatic. Billy and his team specialize in working with these children, giving them the time and patience they need. He also creates events for autism awareness and special needs for children and adults in his community.
