In November 2021, Brett Young released “You Didn’t” as the final single off his album Weekends Look A Little Different These Days.
Brett and his wife, Taylor, are a great couple, but there was a time in their dating history when they broke up. Brett said it lasted two years and was the hardest break up he’d experienced. Even though they’re married now with two beautiful girls, he had to dig deep to recall that emotional time in their lives and write this song.
To add a little more realness to it, Brett starred in the video with his wife Taylor. They both drew upon that hard time to deliver the emotion you see in the music video.
The song would make a slow and steady climb up the charts, taking 70 weeks to reach the Top 10.
