Lainey Wilson hasn’t wasted any time making her mark at the CMA Awards so far. Last year, in her first outing, Lainey led the nominations list with six nods (two of which she won), and this time around, she ups the ante with nine nominations. The reigning Female Vocalist is back in that category to defend her title. She has a couple of chances to take home Single (“Heart Like A Truck” and “wait in the truck”) and Musical Event (“Save Me” and “wait in the truck”) with her two nominations in each category. Plus, Lainey is up for Entertainer of the Year for the first time in her career.
First-time nominee Jelly Roll finds himself in five categories including Male Vocalist. Luke Combs and HARDY receive four nods each. After earning his first win last year for “Buy Dirt,” three-time nominee Jordan Davis is back with his second consecutive nod in the Song of the Year category. Ashley McBryde, Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen also have three nominations each.
